We do like brides on their wedding day. We know how long they waited and longed for the day to come, for the ultimate dream to come true. And what bigger dream than to be a princess even if only for one day. It takes a lifetime to arrive and a lifetime to remember but only one day to last and to enjoy. Our initial meeting with Anna and Jamie happened long before they got married. They had to postpone their big day because of some very sad circumstances and they longed even more for the magic moments to arrive. Therefore they were so exited and happy when the day when they could celebrate their happiness and pay tribute with their love to those missing finally arrived.
The morning of the wedding day we spent at Anna’s parents house where we took some great photos of her designer dress, herself and all the bridesmaids getting ready. Anna’s bridesmaids were all her closest friends she knows since primary school. While getting ready they chatted and enjoyed telling stories about the old times together as kids. The house was filled with laughter and the familiar overwhelming feeling of expectation and nervousness. And us being there to capture those beautiful moments so they can remember them feels so special.
I could almost hear Anna’s heart beating watching her chest move to the sound of her shallow breath. Last kiss on cheek from her dad before she entered the filled with 200 guests venue. Her handsome groom, family and friends waiting to look at the gorgeous bride. I bet the strong shoulder of her father to lean on was very much needed at that moment. Imagine all the people looking at her, applauding the beautiful woman, the wife she will become. And when the eyes of Anna and Jamie met for the first time that day I could almost see some magic happening in between. There is those little special moments I see happening. They are there every time we photograph a wedding. Amazing!
Anna and Jamie had the most amazing day and it’s been a great pleasure to share the joyous day with them.
